I've spent the last few years eating my way through the Capital Region and posting about it as @DomCReviews. Somewhere along the way, the DMs turned into a second job: "where should I take my girlfriend Friday?", "what's actually good in Troy?", "is that place on TikTok worth it?"

Upstate Eats is my answer. Not a review aggregator, not a wall of 4.2-star averages — just one person who eats here constantly telling you where to go, what to order, and what to skip. If the breakfast sandwich is mid, I'll say the breakfast sandwich is mid.

The rule is simple: I pay for my food, I go more than once when it matters, and I tell you the downsides too. Brutally honest, always hungry — that's the whole product. Years working in hospitality means I'm looking at the service and the operation, not just the plate.
